"My passion for quality audio cables began over 25 years ago, when I discovered how much music was being lost in all of the cables that I tried in my stereo system. When I compared the available cables to a direct connection, I could not find any that came close to preserving the natural timbre and expression of the music - so I decided to design my own. Back then and to this day, other manufacturers evaluate their cables by comparing them with other cables, however the only real benchmark of perfection for cables is no cable at all - a direct physical connection between components.

While technical knowledge and laboratory testing are useful in solving the problems of cable design, what really matters are the improvements that we can actually see and hear. For this reason, Wireworld utilizes and promotes 'objective perceptual testing', in which structured double-blind comparisons of cables to a direct connection define their real-world performance. To facilitate these comparisons, I developed a series of testing devices called Cable Comparators, the first of which (the Interconnect Comparator) received the CES Innovations Design & Engineering award in 1996.
